The Silver Lining Serenaders

Based in New Orleans, Louisiana The Silver Lining Serenaders specialize in swing, western swing and vintage jazz from the 1920's, 30's & 40's. Formed in 2022 and co-led by Ella Thomasine on violin & vocals and Scott Stobbe on guitar & vocals, the band most often performs as a trio or quartet,  with the accompaniment of a core group of talented local musicians on clarinet and upright bass.  Depending on the setting the band can also perform as a larger group with the addition of  drums, tenor banjo and/or other horns.

   Often playing for swing dances, speakeasies, listening rooms and private events, the band was a featured artist at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival in 2026.

The Serenaders have toured extensively nationally and internationally. Past travels include routes through the southwest, west coast and midwestern United States, as well as Europe to play the Hola Nola and Swing4Asturias festivals in Spain.
